A disabled man was seriously injured when he was ambushed in Paris by a large group of suspects, at least two of whom were illegal aliens from Africa, according to reports.
The disturbing incident unfolded at around 11 p.m. on Sunday night in the 18th arrondissement of the French capital.
The victim, a deaf man in his thirties, was attacked by a "dozen individuals" at the Porte de Clignancourt metro station, a police source told CNews.
The man was kicked and punched repeatedly and then robbed of his cell phone.
He was taken to hospital where he was treated for facial wounds and bruising.
Authorities used CCTV footage to identify some of the suspects, two whom were tracked down a short time later in the same vicinity.
"They were arrested and then taken into custody. CNEWS learned that they were two 16-year-old minors of Algerian nationality. They are in an irregular situation on French territory," the outlet reports.
