Algerian Illegal Caught Raping Woman in France

An illegal migrant from Africa was caught in the act of raping a woman in France this week, according to authorities.

The horrifying incident unfolded at around 2 a.m. on Saturday in the culturally-enriched city of Marseille.

Police on patrol in the 15th arrondissement heard a woman screaming for help and rushed to investigate, Actu 17 reports.

"Help! He's raping me! I'm going to die!" the victim yelled.

Officers encountered a male suspect sexually assaulting a woman in the middle of the street.

"They noted the presence of a man on a woman who was screaming. He forced her to the ground and committed acts of sexual assault on her," a prosecutor later explained.

"The victim showed signs of violence, especially on the wrists."

The suspect, who was under the influence of drugs and alcohol, was immediately arrested.

He was identified as a 32-year-old Algerian national who is illegally present in France and already known to police.

Additionally, he was previously ordered to leave the country and barred from reentering.

"The services of the Prefecture indicated that the respondent had been the subject, before his arrest, of an obligation to leave French territory (OQTF) accompanied by a ban on returning," the prosecution stated.

Legal proceedings and an investigation are ongoing.

A heated debate over violent crime and lawlessness tied to mass migration has been raging in France.

Military leaders fired off multiple incendiary letters last year, warning the Macron government of looming "civil war" if strong measures are not taken to regain control of a society spiraling into chaos.
