Armed Bandits Raid Paris Luxury Store, Ride Off With Loot Worth Millions

A high-end fashion store in France was robbed by armed thieves who rode off with over $2 million in stolen goods this week, according to reports.

The incident unfolded at around 3 p.m. on Thursday on rue de la Paix in Paris.

The brazen heist was carried out in broad daylight in full view of many witnesses, France Bleu reports.

Video footage of the raid was shared on social media.

At least four suspects can been seen filling bags worth of merchandise before hopping on motorcycles and fleeing the scene.

One of the riders appears to have a rifle slung across his back.

All of the suspects were wearing full riding gear and helmets.

"The banditry repression brigade is on the spot," police announced shortly after the robbery.

"Robbery of a Chanel shop by several men who seem heavily armed according to witnesses," freelance journalist Clément Lanot reported.

"The amount of damage is estimated at around 2 million euros."

No one was reported injured. Authorities have launched an investigation into armed robbery.
