Thousands of migrants have been corralled at a checkpoint along the Polish border by Belarusian troops as tensions continue to escalate in the region, according to reports.
Belarus seems intent on provoking a confrontation at the closed Kuźnica crossing, as a razor wire fence has been erected behind a large group of migrants camped just feet from a wall of Polish officers and vehicles.
Stunning photos and videos from the scene have been shared on social media on Monday.

In addition, 100 specialist police counter-terrorism officers have been sent to the eastern border to assist forces already present.
Many of the migrants now gathered near Kuźnica reportedly came from other camps along the frontier amid claims there would be "organized action" ensuring their passage into Poland and onward to other European countries.
For those following my posts - migrants were told on social media that an "organised action" would take place today & they'd be able to cross the Polish border.

They were also told buses would arrive to take them to Germany.
Polish troops are telling them these were lies.
The migrant camp on the Poland-Belarus border which was the location for many illegal border crossing attempts & violence is mostly empty.
