A police officer was sent to hospital after being attacked by a gang in Skövde, Sweden.
The officer was responding to reports of a fight at a travel center when he was attacked by a "group of young people behaving disruptively," according to The Local.
A bus driver initially called law enforcement to report that a disturbance among passengers aboard his vehicle had forced him to pull over "after it became messy on the bus," reports Skövde Nyheter.
"The driver did not want to drive on and then stayed at a travel center where he alerted the police," said a police spokesman.
"We sent officers there and the first patrol that arrived was met with resistance from two members of the group," said Inspector Morten Gunneng. "It ended with one of the officers being assaulted, and it's being treated as violence against a public servant."
"The first patrol got the worst fight against him, and he has been in hospital overnight," said another official. "It was not just a blow to his face, he was subjected to serious abuse."
Two people in their 30s were arrested at the scene, and two more were apprehended for interrogation.
