German police shot and killed a knife-wielding Afghan suspect who attacked multiple people while yelling 'Allah akbar' this week, according to reports.
The disturbing incident unfolded at around 6 p.m. on Thursday in Ansbach, a city in the state of Bavaria.
A male suspect carrying knives and shouting Islamic slogans embarked on a rampage at a train station.
"First he jumped at a 17-year-old German from behind and grabbed him. The two fell down a flight of stairs. The attacker then sat on his victim and tried to stab the teenager," Bild reports.
"The victim fought back, screaming for his life."
A Good Samaritan who intervened was slashed by the suspect, who ran off in search of other victims.
Footage purportedly shot at the scene shows a man wielding a large blade while chasing bystanders.

The cops shot the suspect and he died at the scene.
He was identified as a 30-year-old Afghan national who entered Germany in 2015 and was well-known to authorities for prior violent crimes, sources told Bild.
Authorities say they are investigating possible motives for the crime, but are hesitant to classify the attack as 'terrorism' or as being related to Islam.
