Iranian Migrant Attacks Swiss Paramedic, Badly Damages Ambulance

An illegal migrant from Iran was arrested for injuring a paramedic and damaging an ambulance during a rampage in Switzerland last week, according to reports.

The incident unfolded at around 3 a.m. on Thursday morning in the city of Winterthur.

Police were alerted about a man assaulting an emergency responder and destroying medical equipment near the Cantonal Hospital.

The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived, but was apprehended nearby shortly afterward.

He was identified as a 38-year-old failed asylum seeker from Iran who was being transported to the hospital via ambulance before he allegedly set upon his rescuers.

"Shortly before arriving at his destination, he attacked the paramedic who was taking care of him and injured him," 20 Minutes reports.

"He also damaged the ambulance and medical equipment before fleeing. The material damage is estimated at more than 50,000 francs [~$55,000]."

The Iranian was taken to the emergency room and will face legal consequences if convicted.

Emergency crews are frequently attacked in Western European nations, particularly in migrant enclaves and 'no-go' zones where assailants draw little distinction between cops and first responders.

It's official: America is now in a civil war.
