French police shot and killed a vagrant wielding a knife at Charles de Gaulle in Paris on Wednesday morning, according to reports.
The incident unfolded on Wednesday at around 8:20 a.m. in the French capital.
Authorities say an "aggressive" man pulled a blade in a public area inside a terminal and ignored multiple orders to drop the weapon, BFMTV reports.
A photographer with AFP who witnessed the incident says, "a large person of color brandished something that looked like a knife at the police.”
The suspect reportedly charged at officers and they responded with deadly force, fatally shooting him in the abdomen.
"Demonstrating composure, the police neutralized a threatening individual in possession of a knife at Roissy Charles-de-Gaulle airport this morning," Paris police explained in a statement.
The suspect was identified as a 32-year-old man who is believed to be homeless, according to Actu 17.
Multiple investigations have reportedly been opened.
