Migrant Shouting 'Allahu Akbar' Shoves Man Onto Paris Train Tracks

An African migrant shouting Islamic phrases was arrested after allegedly throwing a random man off a train platform in Paris this week, according to reports.

The incident unfolded just after midnight on Monday at Gare-de-l'Est in the French capital.

Officers monitoring surveillance cameras located a man causing a major disturbance in the underground passageways of the metro station.

He was observed breaking furniture while yelling 'Allahu akbar' before his apprehension, authorities say.

"The suspect, of Tunisian origin, was arrested and at the same time, a victim made himself known," Le Parisien reports.

"He explained that he had just been attacked on line 7. The traveler formally identified his attacker who has just pushed him onto the tracks of the line for no reason."

Fortunately, the victim did not sustain serious injuries from his fall.

Regional transport police took the suspect into custody and he was examined by a psychiatrist, who determined he was 'mentally disturbed.'

He was taken to a mental health facility for further treatment.
