A truck driver from Morocco was arrested after a multi-crash rampage in which one person was killed and three more wounded in Catalonia, Spain, according to reports.
The deadly incident unfolded at around 6 p.m. on Sunday on a highway in La Jonquera.
Police say the 39-year-old suspect, who was drunk at the time, is believed to have run over another truck driver during an altercation, killing him.
As he tried to flee the scene, he drove the wrong way on a roundabout and collided with a car from France carrying three people.
All three occupants were seriously injured and transported to hospital by helicopter.
"Before being arrested, he ended up running into a streetlight that ended up falling," Diari de Girona reports.
"The detainee, 39 years old and a Moroccan national, has tested positive for alcohol, so he is also accused of driving under the influence of alcohol and leaving the scene of the accident."
Catalonia police shared a photo of the damaged truck on social media.
Police have launched an investigation and the suspect will be presented before a court.
