Authorities are investigating an alleged rape committed by a 12-year-old Afghan migrant against a young girl with 'severe mental retardation' at a care home in France this month, according to reports.
The horrifying incident unfolded on January 13 in Etampes, a commune in the suburbs of Paris.
Police were alerted by staff at a facility for vulnerable children about a sex attack that had taken place during the overnight hours.
A 15-year-old girl living at the home was raped in the room of an Afghan preteen who was temporarily placed there under a judge's order.
"He then offered the sum of fifteen euros to the victim so that she would not say anything," a source told Actu 17.
The victim was taken to hospital for a medical examination and moved to another care home.
The suspect reportedly could not be taken into police custody because he is allegedly under the age of 13.
He was ordered to undergo a behavioral evaluation but it is unclear if he will face any legal consequences if his guilt is confirmed.
Authorities have offered little information about the case other than to confirm an investigation is ongoing.
Migrants often lie about their ages to European authorities, as Infowars has frequently reported.
