A teenage boy thwarted a home invasion by an illegal alien from Africa in France last week, according to reports.
The harrowing incident unfolded at around 2 p.m. on Saturday afternoon in Montpellier, a city in the south of France.
A brother and his younger sister were alone in their house in the district of Cévennes with orders from their parents not to open the door to strangers.
Suddenly, a man climbed a gate and entered the garden of the home.
The boy confronted the intruder and pursued him into the street.
The suspect reportedly threw stones at the young man and threatened to kill him during the confrontation.
"The father of the two teenagers, warned in the meantime by his daughter, caught up with the burglar who had entered the garden of his villa," La Gazette de Montpellier reports.
"A fight ensued where the two men exchanged blows."
The suspect was arrested and identified as a 21-year-old citizen of Morocco who was illegally present in France.
It was also discovered that he was already know to police for similar break-ins in Paris.
He was placed in detention and could face criminal charges.
