Teens Targeted in Slew of Violent Robberies, Stabbings Across Sweden

Teenagers were injured during a slew of robberies and attacks in various parts of southern Sweden during a 12-hour span last week, according to reports.

At least three minors were targeted in incidents that unfolded across the country on Friday.

A boy in his early teens was beaten by a group of four or five 'young people' who stole his e-cigarette on Friday afternoon in Växjö, a city in the south of Sweden.

"The 14-year-old encountered an acquaintance who wanted money for a previous favor. The acquaintance then picked up several friends and there was a fight," Sveriges Radio reports, citing local police.

The victim managed to transport himself home.

Hours later, a teenager was found suffering from multiple stab wounds in the city of Karlstad, according to Samnytt.

The victim, identified as a male between the ages of 15 and 18, was rushed to hospital for emergency treatment.

"He is very seriously injured," a police spokesman explained amid an active investigation.

"There are several barricades that are set up and several high interest places."

One person was brought in for questioning but no suspects were immediately identified.

At around 9 p.m., another teen was stabbed at a grocery store on a farm in Nyköping.

The suspect, who was described as a youth of a similar age, fled the scene, Aftonbladet reports.

Police have launched an investigation into attempted murder.
