Police in London came under attack by a masked man wielding a machete in broad daylight last week, according to reports.
The harrowing incident unfolded at around 10 a.m. on December 30 in Croydon, a town in South London, England.
Officers pulled a motorcycle rider over for a traffic stop when he became aggressive and brandished a large blade.
Footage of the ensuing battle was captured by an eyewitness.
The suspect can be seen hacking at a cop lying in the street before he turns his attention to another officer.
It is unclear if the machete remained in a sheath during the assault, but the first officer manages to stand up and help his partner take the suspect down using a Taser and pepper spray.
"One officer suffered a concussion and a second officer suffered a suspected fracture," Met Police said in a statement.

The suspect was subsequently arrested and identified only as a 23-year-old male.
"'I was really shocked when I realized it was a knife. He was trying to unsheathe it," the man who shot video of the attack told local media.
"The blade must have been as long as your forearm. I was like, 'What the hell!' I live in the area. It doesn't feel very safe."
